Today I bought a XP333R 2.1 board for 5 bucks.

I will not be surprised if I ended up unable to do fsb 220.
And i will hate myself as usual for not sticking to the 8rda+ which easily did fsb 235 on first try without any tweaks using a borrowed kingston hyperX3200 (and at dual channel).

It must really be the itch for a tweak? or a headache !?! lol !!

You might get lucky like the Reverend rgone or some of his minions. Any way, theres a price to pay, to get ultra high fsb you need ultra expensive ram and prolly lose the performance edge to a mildly overclocked board with tighter ram timings. My best respects to those who can pass 200mhz fsb with a DDR333 mainboard. I dont like toast particularly if it arrives with burned bacon.

Scratch the DFI board, picked up an Epson Stylus photo printer instead, man, my printed pics are sharp and bright now. Besides, my faithful Deskjet doesnt have full set of XP drivers and the color ink cart is discontinued.

Owe the rgone as much respect as can be mustered, he's spent countless hours helping peeps with board issues, not an awful lot of peeps are willing to spend so much of their precious time addressing mainboard issues for the poor and unfortunate.

Still tweaking those XP333s...hehe...I was just looking around and i just stopped by to say hi to you guys I remember the old days (not too long ago) when I was tweaking my XP333 You guys are great and a lot of help. One day my comp just didn't want to start up anymore, and I thought that the mobo died. This is why i got a new 8RDA3G, but it turned out that the PSU died and not the mobo! Anyway I'm happy with Epox, I gave my XP333 to one of my friends and it's running a 2100+TBred @ 169x13=2.2G The only thing he is still complaining is that sometimes it just doesn't wanna turn on, but after a few tries she fires up and no prob...I guess there's nothing much to do about it right!?

Long time no hear from you. Great work you did for the individuals with factory locked XP333's. That post issue you have might be attributed to the very high overclock for that 2100+ CPU. Have you tried relaxing the overclock to say 2 Ghz (11X180), bet she posts every time at the lower multi?

This is one hell of an mb which even works solid at fsb 205 x 10 at..... would you believe 1.525 Vcore. That is where I am at the last 2 months and I don't even have a mobile Barton. Temps hover at 38-41. This mb was the first 333, now it seems it was the first 400 mhz board, still kicking strong mid-2004. As i told Butt, i am still waiting for my Infinity to arrive from Tokyo ($116, shipping included).....dreaming about joining Rgone's fsb250 club at DFI street soon or (bust)......

I dont think I could have handled all the DFI trama and trouble after laying down big loot for hardware.... I mean I am so happy with the stable system I have now. Im not getting high fsb yet but will someday. sandra is like 3170/29xx and 3d marks are something like 4360 and things look great. I think some of you could do this with the IWILL. Its great all the things ya get on a motherboard these days for under a hundred bucks. I am about to get a 19 inch samsung monitor at best buy. they want 200 bucks for the 997 df so there goes my memory money

Its like Rgone said this nforce chip was made for 400fsb not 500 fsb. I just got to believe that some things are getting lost and dropped out of that thing. Falling nuetrons and electrons all over the bottom of the case?

The guys at work laugh at me for tweaking a cpu or system as much as I do know, but they are so paranoid of stability problems its not funny .........

madeirose - I'm not tweaking anymore that locked XP333, and too lazy to do the wire bridges...hehe...it's a great overclock 2.2G (169x13) for 2100+ Tbred, and it flies pretty well, I consider it almost "over the top". My buddy is happy with it, it's his fastest PC he ever owned

emil - the Police did visit me once..hehe...but i forgot to change my signature, because it's not a 500W 5.1, it's 1000W 10.1 surround ... hehehe ... it was funny, because I burned my old amp, and sent it back to Klipsch for repair or exchange, and to my surprise they sent me a whole band new 5.1 package with all the speakers! Praise KLIPSCH !!! This is how i ended up hooking it up to 10.1

Now I alo have the fatest PC I ever owned, 2.6G (226x11.5) with my 8RDA3G feels like the sky is the limit On water temps go up to 45C, 50C max when it was sweaty hot my room, but it looks that the 2600+ XP-M maxes out for me @ 2.6G with 1.975V, I cannot go faster even if I give 2V+, I can't keep it cool enough, it just overheats fast and starts with all the errors and Windows slowly closes all the programs..hehe...

Yes, I am in the land of the push it till it blows and how in hale that happen? HEhehehe. Roken along as it were. Had a little time the last few days to do a little clocking and set me an unthought of 250FSB on some CH-5 mammaires and that as said wuz some surprise. Strange thing is that all I learned from the original "hotdogs", I met in this forum and that helped me a stuggling newb in the KK266R days>well that learned methodology is still the key to boogie down. I will always be indebted to folks like Ace-R-Rue, Ole Auddio>my dragon's keeper and a host of those guys long gone on to brighter pastures.
