Today I bought a XP333R 2.1 board for 5 bucks.

After doing these bench's we decided to have a little tweak or sommat o

that ilk !!!! with our respective computers , most of these poor

souls have never overclocked anything ever before and there was much

liberating of extra ummphhh !!!! going on esp. in the gfx card department !!!!

It was about this point when mr cool with his beer chiller case decided to

open her up to get one o his stella's out tae drink , shame he left the door

open coz he promptly dropped the beer which bounced on the table and sprayed

all over the place including his cool case with the open door and that was the

end for him and his pc !!!! hope something was salvageable !!!!

found oot it were a soltek sl75vim2-l motherboard tho . bout all I could see thru.

Oh well give him a good excuse to upgrade now !!!! I wonder if it was covered on his

home and contents / personal posesssions insurance !!!! I can just imagine the

phone call to the insurers or the form he's filled ooooooot !!!!

I believe youre the winner in the price/performance rating since the P4 boards are all way out of your class and also when it comes to certain benchmarks, heh heh.

Maybe I'll send ya my XP333R, since appearently you have the magic touch, it posts maybe once outta 75 tries and locks up in 20 seconds while in bios setup.

Was pc 6 a kxd18 pro ll? Albatron? Made me go do some benches after I seen that. got 4424 on 2003 3d mark and 34097 on aquamark. Compared to other boards with a 9600 xt it does a very good job but its still waiting for new memory. But im a little shocked you got the iwill up to 5000 and stable thats unreal.

ordered nearly 2 months ago , they arrived at next but one neighbour 10 days after order

delivered there coz I was out at work , didnae see me neighbour coz of the time I got

home ( like 0430 hrs and crashed oot !!!! ) and missed him the next morning , got home

that afternoon in time to see him on his way out with his kit bag and stuff thought I'd

catch him l8r but no that were him off to sunny Iraq courtesy of HM's forces !!!!

pc no. 5 Dead dead the poor ole things dead , but it still looks cool maybe even cooler

with the stella spattered all over it !!!!

yo, you made another reach the 200's! I just received a stick of KHX3000 512mb stick from ZipZoomFly and it is bh5! stuff. Running real smooth with my other stick in my NF7-S in duel channel but only at 200mhz now 11-2-2-2. Jesh you get 200 out of the XP333 riggy. Now how did yu get 3.6v to the ram? my max was 3.2v on my x-rig and then stuck regardless of any lower resistor. ZipZoomFly still has BH5 stuff, hard to believe, CPUZ sees both stickys as pc2700, lol. The non bh5 stick of KHX3000 from Newegg which I returned showed up as pc3000 in CPUZ and wouldn't even do 188mhz in the XP333 at CL2. Now you got me wanting to put her back together again. . .

not only is it doing 204mhz at cas 2 bro. it's doing it at a vdimm of

2.82 !!!! according to my good digi volt meter anyway !!!! my other dvm says 2.84vdimm

but it's a pretty cheap one and I'm not convinced !!!!

the ocz cp3500 el will not do even 200mhz WTFeck huh !!!! ggggrrhhh !!!!

the adata pc 3200 stuff manages to get 203 but thats at cas 2.5

and at the mo. the hyper x is sitting in a m8's pc coz he killed his own trying to get his dfi

ultra b to 250mhz stable !!!! RMA...ing no doubt , the mobo went pop and so did the cpu

memory and one hard drive so his running on my spare kit at the mo. !!!!



Hmmnn Noko get the 3.6vdimm is very difficult I'm using a very nice variable pot with

1 hundred turns to it so you change voltage very very slowly and kinda sneak up on it

if u just try to go right up it kinda hits a wall at 3.2 to 3.25vdimm !!!! some kind of maybe

surge protection or summat !!!! not sure wot !!!!

U have to be real carefull up at this vdimm tho. m8 !!!!

this is wot killed my last xp333-r mobo ( was trying too hard I guess !!!! wanted that

3200 mem score in sandra too much maybe !!!! ) coz u r only a fraction away

from toasting yer mobo a little too much on the pot and it's hasta la pasta baby !!!!

it kinda hits a wall at 3.2 to 3.25vdimm !!!!

I do believe thats all the yer gonna get with a low supply voltage. And at that rate, be sure to have some decent cooler on the NB chip as it is bound to get rather hot at 3.25v.

I wonder if those hairy babes are related to big-foot? If so then they are Americans, true Americans that is, hehe. Went to Radio Shack and bought a 1k Pot, bread board, black box, dip switch with 8 switches and some puny test leads which I was going to use as SMD grabbers. Soldered and fitted everything up for a sure Vdimm mod on my NF7-S. Why didn't I look at the mobo first? the resistor I need to hook up the pot to is so tiny I would need to solder one of those lady's hair to make it work . Prime 95 been steady while I do other stuff for over 3 hours now with this new stick. Man NF7 Vdimm mod sucks compared to the ease of the XP333 method.

Indeed it sucks the big one, no easy task and a dead mobo if you fubar it, have you checked your board to make sure it is overvolting your vdimm. 2.9v should give you around 3.04 in the bios under PC Health.

Naa, 2.9 gives 2.93v. Me figure, solder a chuck of solder to the resistive critter and hook a smd grabbher for Pot. Forget a piece of wire, I would burn a hole through the board or something. My nerves hasn't been up to the task yet. Would really hate to destroy the board, would have to put back my XP333-R (hmmmm that isn't so bad. . .).

Wow! I hit the jackpot or something. I am now doing 230fsb with 11-2-2-2 timings in duel channel with only 2.93v to my HyperX sticks of pc3000 with Bh5 chips on my NF7-S . A bios by Trat's did the trick I dare say. Me so happy .

Heh,heh, the 2-512's are cause of your pisspoor overclock....glad you found a CPC off bios that does work. BTW, is CPC on/off selectable in Trat's bios???


Heh,heh, theres so many hacked bios's out for NF7 boards ........ I still find the original D10 the best for my NF7 since I dont use SATA.
