No selection for CPC in the bios, his bios woke up my Kingston HyperX big time. I think I going to investigate using a SMD grabber on the voltage controller vice resistor to get my memory voltage up. I hate to screw up my resistor and possible MB. Performance is definitely up with his bios, plus I have APIC on.

finally got a chance to build up them 2 nf2 systems I was waiting to get me paws on

did em both yesterday afternoon , albytron kx18d pro II and soltek sl-75frn2-l

both have barton 2500+ cpu's tho. 1 a mobi !!!! maxtor 40gb 7200rpm hd's

sapphire 9700 pro's and either a sparkle 400w psu or a pcpc 550w psu both

the psu's have adjustable rails via potentiometers ( nice !!!! )

ran into a problem with both mobo's tho. in that they both don't like my stick

of ocz 256mb pc3500 el simply won't allow mem frequency to be changed either in

bios or via a 3rd party utility like 8rda or nv utility weird !!!! huh !!!!

fired the twinmos into the alby and the hyperx into the soltek

they did'nt like that much tho. so swapped em round and they be mucho happier

campers now !!!!

initial benches has the alby in front at 220 mhz with the soltek right behind with 217mhz

darn gotta go do some work !!!!

I have been suffering from lack of sleep lately since the Infinity I ordered from Tokyo finally arrived after waiting for it for...6 long weeks ! *&%&(*^%#$ !!!!

Great MB, the NFII Ultra Infinity....... easy to coax and handle especially with its latest bios the 6/19/04. I was really hesistant initially as Butt seemed not to have good experience with it.

And of course what we already knew a long time ago ...the Kingston HyperX3000 !!!!

Great memory...rated default is 183 mhz... now running in my rig at fsb 250 x 9.5 !!!! and in dual channel mode giving Sandra of almost 3700/3200 !!! That is a whooping 40% overclock from default. It is a pity that they have phased out production and if these babies blowup I hate removing the other pair from my epox 8rda+.

With all the activity of adjusting and tweaking it is dejavu time again....like in the old xp333r days

I am currently pissed off cause I cant get 98se to play a game correctly which is rouge spear and a good reason I dual boot. Even took a 20 gig I had laying around and used in the box drivers ......that let me build a good 98se with all video and audio playing good. But my game would keep crashing.

Either the new nforce drivers or directx9 kills my 98 OS makeing video and audio run too fast skipping ahead and shit.

I am currently thinking about a ASUS A7V600-X or even a xp 333 so I can get away from the nividia when I need to.

Yesterday I was the first one at BestBuy's door at 10 am to avoid bashing heads over the first copy of DoomIII, finally I made it home late PM, installed it in my 8RDA+ and.....and..... the game literally sucks! You might remember when GLQuake came out, the graphics were unbelievably improved over the blocky, software graphics of the original Quake....... well, the D3 graphics are excellent but the same old venue of getting in elevators and shooting at flaming skulls and of course IDSoftware's venerable signature "zombies apearing everywhere" If anyone wants my copy of D3, they can have it! I wonder if EB would give me a discount on HL2 if I trade in my once used D3 cd set.

Oh, yeah, today I got a LinkSys BEFSR41 router/4 port switch from newegg, Gathered all my crossover CAT5 cables interconnecting my 4 system network, rewired the cable ends for straight-thru use, took the router out of the box, plugged all the cables in, turned on the router and my ICS system, reset my cable modem, turned the other three systems on, 5 minutes later I had working network running 4 internet connections on 1 IP address, and hardware firewalled too........ kinda makes up for the purchase of D3 yesterday..........life is good today!

I'm glad things turned out well despite the bad start... CHEERS !!! to Butt !! and how is or are your DFI's doing ??? You gave me the impression earlier that they were cranky to coax up. Did they finally cooperate ??? Well, i guess i have just been lucky so far with my InFiNiTy.

In my sleepiness I thought i was running in dual channel mode..... however upon further scrutiny...I WAS NOT ! So after this post I will correct my temporary signature. Yes...OFTEN ...operating systems and their incompatibilities can be an aa...h..o...l xx !!! And we end up with hours upon hours of trying to solve the problem. Just the other day it took me almost 10 installs to finally succeed with WinXP. Hope you find a solution soon !!

Emil, 250mhz! Well I went down to 225mhz from 230mhz on my NF7-S with those golden HPX pc3000 wonders and doing very good. I also play D3 but am enjoying it in my case.

Good news, just ordered a new box, some fans (3), a HSF for my XP1700+ (its been in plastic for so long ) from Newegg. For you know what. . . MY XP333-R, it will be reborn, resurrected or something like that. Initially it will have 256mb of ram but more will come later. I will probably run her in the 180's for fsb for sheer stability. The G9700Pro will also go back to mama in the 4x agp slot. I just couldn't stand seeing all the spare computer parts lying around here like they owed the place or something . . Hi all.
