    I'm going to assume you're refering to the search engine plugins that you can access in the upper right hand corner.

    There should be a folder in your firefox folder named "searchplugins". Delete the .src and image file that corespond to the engine you'd like to remove and restart firefox. It should no longer be a choice up there.

    There may be a more elegant solution to this, something built into firefox perhaps, I couldn't find it though.

    Hope this is what you were asking for.
