In my previous post i posted the link
    but here it is anyway:
    http://www.watsky.net/
    or the dl link:
    http://download.watsky.net/BeatrIX_2005.1F.iso
It is less than 200MB so it can fit on a buisness card cdr/w.

Isn't there a program that allows you to build your own liveCD? That would be the best route for us to take.

    There is:
    http://www.linux-live.org/

    A snippet from the site:
Linux Live is a set of shell scripts which allows you to create own LiveCD from every Linux distribution. Just install your favourite distro, remove all unnecessary files (for example man pages and all other files which are not important for you) and then download and run these scripts.

Slax uses this for thier distro.

    *Edit -
I would like to add my vote as to what this PCP distro could have:
    Debian based distro
2.6.10 Kernel optimized for AMD processors (not sure how hard the 64bit optimization is...)
    KDE 3.3
    KOffice
    Gimp
    Gaim
    Xchat
FLuxbox for a lightweight window manager

That looks good except for KOffice, i'd get rid of those packages and use OOO

sure enough OOO it is. I just thought a whole KDE office suite would of been suffice, since not alot of distros use it.

I also vote for whatever auotmounting feature Mandrake and Ubuntu uses for devices. Some people do not like it and rather to mount it when they want to, but if you plug it in, wouldnt you use it anyway?

EDIT - Actually now that I think about it...
Why not a Mandrake like distro, Debian based, with both KDE and Gnome (only the essential programs though), optimized for AMD chips

I think the automounting is a kernel option..or some obscure setting somewhere, because I've used it in Gentoo and Slack as well.

I just say OOO because of the .doc compatiability.
