    Free Linux CDs from Novell

I was checking out fatwallet and i came across this
Fill out a little questionare and get 3 DVDs with:
    - SUSE linux Standard Server 8.0
    - SUSE linux 9.1 Professional
    - Ximian Desktop 2.0
    - Ximian Red Carpet
    - Novell linux Services 1.0
    - Novell GroupWise for linux 1.0

I know some people don't have the connection to download a ton of ISOs, so this is pretty good for those people.
I personally want to check out how the ximian/novell distro is.

I've been using Suse 9.1 pro since it came out and love it.The only thing you wouldn't get are the 2 books that come with it.But you'll find lots of Suse forums online. If you can get it for free,go for it.

I filled out the info for the DVDs. Suse is one of the most closed source open source distros I know of, and this gives everyone a chance to try it out if they want to. A great find (mine is being shipped and I may or maynot give it a high priority - at least I have it). I actually dislike Suse for the hassle they make you go through to get a free copy - it does not have that open source feel!

    hmm.been a bit.theyve gotten a huge response.wonder why

    heres the letter i got:

As you may have noticed, there has been a slight delay in your Novell Linux Technical Resource DVD kit shipment. We had a phenomenal response to this free offer, and have had to adjust production to meet this demand.

In an effort to provide you with the most current Linux software from Novell, and to accommodate the release of a new, yet-to-be-announced Linux product, the decision was made to delay shipment on some of the more recent Linux Technical Resource Kit orders.

As a result, your kit will ship during the last week of July * with the latest Linux software from Novell. We will notify you again as soon as your order is mailed.

We appreciate your patience, and are confident you will find the Novell Linux Resource Kit a comprehensive tool to evaluate the Linux offerings from Novell.

    Sincerely,
    Novell Customer Communities
