Post Asus K8N-E DELUXE Comments\Results Here

If anyone orders and installs this please let everyone else know your impressions of the motherboard. Anyway I know lots of people have been waiting for this motherboard and it appears the price is only $159.00 now. Still not cheap but better than $189. I only hope newegg gets this in-stock soon. I've been waiting for this motherboard for months.

Actually a number of people from this forum have indicated they wanted this board including myself. I'm just informing people of the availability since this is the 1st place I know of that has it for sale. Whats strange is not one review of this board prior to it being for sale.

Nice, finally it has arrived. Too bad I had no patience and jumped on the EPoX 8KDA3+ board. I wonder what the max stock Vcore and Vdimm are on this board. Any reviews found yet? And the price is also surprisingly much lower than I expected.

Thank you very much for the info, dirtrat! I was almost at the point where I believed ASUS would scrap the board. This board has been ages coming along, but it's the only one for me!

EDIT: Just found another dealer with the board in stock, apparently. Sadly, I'll have to wait until the boards hits the shores of tiny Denmark. It'll be a while, but at least it's on the horizon now.

I've waited this long to make the jump from socket A to and A64, and I must continue to resist until an nforce 939 board comes out.

    Must...resist...the...urge...to...click...CHECKOUT!

This is as bad as waiting for a baby to be born, the 939 processors are out, but where are the $150 939 motherboards?

I waited a really long time for this board, and a week ago I just gave up and got the MSI K8N Neo Platinum. Oh well the neo was cheaper. Ill get an Asus board in a few years when I switch to the 939pin cpus

I would imagine they are about 2 to 3 months out. When the 754's came out, they were priced similarly to the 939s. It took about 3 months, but they came out with lower clocked chips at MUCH lower prices.

The thing is, the 939 performance isn't THAT much better than 754. The only real advantage is dual channel memory access and it's been shown that the Athlon64 doesn't derive a very large benefit from this capability because of the integrated memory controller.

BTW, on an unrelated topic, does anyone know if AMD will be realeasing an AMD 64 chip that can handle 3 sticks of PC 3200 at full speed?

My thoughts EXACTLY!!! I'm still waiting for the NF III 250GB chip to be THOROUGHLY put to use in a motherboard. I want ALL the features of the chipset and nothing running off any add-on controllers (i.e. crappy SI SATA controllers).
