    Resolved [duplicate] Search won't work

Okay, this has really been bugging me and has almost made me not even want to visit/use the site anymore.

I'm using IE 6.0 and Mozilla Firefox .8 and neither of them work when I try searching for something.

When I use the Search I always get kicked out and have to sign in and it takes me to the advanced search screen. So I type in my search option again. Now it is usually a 25% chance that I will get any results. Usually I get a blank page or I get "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40 bytes) in /home/forums/www/includes/db_mysql.php on line 281". I can't even search to see if this bug has been posted about. Anyways I would really like to solve this problem on why the site's search feature isn't working. Thanks for your help and keep up the good work.

    Re: Search won't work

this is a known issue. there has been a few threads started here on this. i used the terms "search errors" in this forum and it brought up the results without issue.

try to hang in there. to fix this will most likely take some hefty upgrading that is very time consuming. alot of other projects are in the works as well. the search function does work...but some real common or general terms will cause this error.

    sorry for the inconvenience

Allright, thanks for the fast feedback.

It's just frustrating when you can't take full advantage of the site.
