Angry Sorry for Posting this again......!

Uggghhhgg!!! Im so P/O'ed at DFI right now.
I love my board and everything, just the damn SPDIF is really pissing me off.
I dont know what to do.
I have updated the drivers to the latest out there.
Iv put Artic Silver 5 on my SB heatsink.
    I just dont understand....

Whenever I hook regular speakers to my line out, everything plays fine, no static, perfect.
But once I hook the RCA cord into the SPDIF out port on the back, and turn on my head unit. And play a song in WMP, I get tons of static and I have to turn my volume up to 60 to hear anything related to music. I just dont understand.
Just a quick question here. The SPDIF out port is the bottom one of the two rca jacks on the back, right? Cus I have plugged it up to the bottom one, top one, both, nothing seems to work. In NV mixer, I change the Input to somthing besides SPDIF and turn Digitize Input off, like I have been told to do. But nothing helps at all. Im about to Flash My BIOS to 6/19, Idk if that will help at all, I dont see how it will, but maybe it might.

If anyone out there can help me, I would greatly appreciate it!!!!!!!

Sorry for your troubles. You say that you have the NVmixer. Have you tried to only use the stuff that is supplied from DFI, or are you using any modded drivers? Also, you may want to try the "Remix" Nforce2 drivers that are out. They are a modded version of the reference nvidia chipset drivers. A quick google search should give you a link pretty quickly.

Well you're not seeming to have much luck in this forum either. I'll move this from DFI to Audio, and see if they can't help you out.

the SPDIF out is the yellow port.

if you get a LOT of static....... my hunch is that the board is bad.

I was thinking that it may have been a bad cable.

You haven't mentioned what you are feeding the signal to (sorry, sigs are turned off for me so can't see it if it is in your sig).

When I use the SPDIF to connect to a stereo input the Dolby encoding HAS to be switched off. Or I get static etc.

As for nvMixer, it's hopeless compared to the old SS control panel, you can't create center channel, and the sub doesn't work in 4-channel config (so some games have sound without subs).
