    Re: should i keep it?

the problem for me is that.. I dont really see a performance increase..

    I have this higher-end system

my brother plays on a system that i cant even feel confortable surfing the web And he says its smooth for him.

I think im unloading wayyy to much $$$ into the computer shizzle.

I would say my PUSH to buy the combo was that it was a good deal, and i want to play games.

Im thinking about getting a better XP combo to oc with.

I got Socket A WC parts on standby. thats another reason.

is there really any performance GAIN over the XP's from the a64's?

yep.u gotta find the slower mother foker whos pissing u off, could be a hdd thingie,or os.u never know untill u check it out.there are guys paid milions to go in large companies and find where and why its going slow, even tough the costs dont really cover that fix.
    thnks

ps with soem drivers on my nf2 system, system is slower than a p3 lo..craps my nerves out.sp2 and newest ones should keep everything in check.if u with linux and shit, itll fly.xp 64bit aint complettley suported yet,so stick to 32bit.when u upgrade, itll blow yer expectations away

if you don't need it now, well return it. Cause the good thing about [most] computer parts is they are always going down in price.

    Re: should i keep it?

was it a good deal @ $250 for the combo? retail boxed CPu and mobo?

I fixed the slow booting problem. I think my 120gb WD HDD is faulty. I put the 80 and it flies.

    My 3dmark03 benches are slower than when i had it (6800GT) with my P4 2.4C @ 3.0 and 256mb PC2100.

Probably due to the fact that i have the 61.77's installed.

I have to update ym hyperion drivers (VIAarena)

I am also thinking about getting a raptor.. is it worth it now?
