    alternatives to WMP?

    for movies? i mean vid clips, mpegs, etc. i can use winamp for music, i just need something that'll replace it for the other functions

    bsplayer....or one of my fav vlc media player.its got the codecs incorporated,a lotta movies that dun play with anything else play with vlc

    VLC also known as videolan is the one that plays all but Nero Showtime is not a bad alternative to media player either. Show time has a PowerDVD look and maybe feel to it but seems a bit more functional.... worth a look.

    winamp plays well for me streaming videos[good as launch] movies, mp3s. xvid,ac3 and divx codecs are all i use with it. visualations are better than wmp and it uses less resources too. Winamp has a music vid site with lots of stuff on it.
    a7n8x-d2.8.msi 5900 and diamond 7.1 sound using digital out.1g xms 3200c2 mem, liteon dvd burner. Been using ubuntu-no windiz.
