GGs everyone. Awesome night of gaming. We maxed out at 8 players. As far as I could tell the server had no problems handling the load despite the K62 500 Mhz CPU. Apparently no bandwidth problems either as pings were great. Let me know if you anyone was lagging or having other problems.

What did you guys think of the server settings last night? I went through every setting in the server startup screen and picked what I thought would make for a good game of LMS.
- 15 life limit but no frag or time limit
- Adrenaline was disabled
- Superweapons were disabled
- Pickups like ammo, health & bonuses (keg 'o health, UT damage, etc) were enabled
- You start will all weapons and full ammo
- Fragging opponents does NOT give you health
I tested this enabled and thought it gave TOO much health for a single frag.
In most cases a single frag would boost you back up to 100 health.
- Camper warning was enabled although no one came close to hitting it
- When a new map starts new players who join late must wait until the next map
once one life is lost. The number of lives that can be lost before new players
are blocked from joining the current map is configurable. The default is 1 and
that's what I left it at.
- Min players was set at 4 so no bots played until later in the evening when the
crowd thinned out. Next time I'll probably set this at 0 because in LMS if the
4th player drops out mid-map a bot will instantly join (not forced to wait until
the next round) with all 15 lives even if everyone else has only a few lives
left. Not fair at all.
There might be a few other settings but that's all I can think of right now.
I'd be happy to host another night of LMS with different settings if there is interest.

I wouldn't change anything other than maybe a slight lag from the time match is over until next map loads in.
Say 30 seconds or so. Give people a chance to chat. 'Cause lord knows there ain't no time during the match.

Maybe adrenelin on would make it a bit interesting, maybe no weapons on spawn, but turn weaponstay on so don't have to wait for them.
Either way was lots of fun. Should play some more DM/LMS next time. Team game is only good if we can get a full 8 people or so. Damn bots are irritating.
