Why the difference in speed with same settings?

I always thought that ram run at the same settings would get very similar results in benchmarks but some recent reviews show some of the "premium" rams definately performing better than the "value" ram. How come? I thought the advantage in the higher priced sticks was due to their OC potential.

Did the reviews state timings used? You can't really compare performance rated at 2-2-2-5 against value ram rated at 2.5-4-4-x.

Manufacturers sometimes add "special enhancements" to their performance modules, so that may explain the minimal gains you may see over value at the same timings and frequencies.

Yeah, they stated the timings. Here's the article:

Let me know what you think. The reason it caught my eye was I am using the same Corsair ram at 2.5-3-3-8 running a 200 FSB.
