    Question Outlook and .pst files........

    Hey there,

I have a question here. I have an old .pst file of mine but everytime I try to reference it,
it then give me a insufficient priveledges issue. I have the file on a cd. I would think
that if it was passworded it would ask me. How do I ask this file again.
Yes, I have tried to reference the file through OUTLOOK to bring up the folders in the .pst
    file. Any thoughts anyone?

"Insufficient Priveledges" has nothing to do with password protected files. It mearly means you either can not read the file, or you can not write to the file, or both. Seeing as you have the file on CD, you can not write to it. What I would do is copy it to your hard drive and then write click the file and make sure the Read Only check box is not turned on.

    Try that first.

    Hey there,

I already tried to copy it to the HD and it didn't work. For that matter it did not have anything
under the properties except a summary, with no security tab or anything.

Try taking ownership of the file.
