The whole quote was spawned from my comment on, while yes the decisions tend to favor a majority of the people, not all the people live in an area where such laws should be enforced. A statewide law, which might make sense in the city, makes absolutly NO sense in rural and suburban areas.

Live in NY and put up with NYC getting their way everyday no matter what on state issues and you might understand where I'm comming from. NY is pretty Conservative, it's just NYC that overrules all of us. (Which is why long Island (with all of NYC included) should be considered it's own state)

Look at most of the strong bush states, they were taken in september, over a month ago. im sure it has gone way down, so kerry is probably wining more than it is acually showing.
