Thanks. No raise, I stopped paying taxes. Not sure how much longer that will work.... I built a nice dual mono Buffalo III DAC, heavy plinth Lenco idler turntable, refurbed an old Krell Class A pre amp with phono board. You still into the car scene?

Polk did a great job with the LSiM's. I was on the demo list but it didn't happen. I recently left flat panels for Salk SoundScape 8's in black limba. Raal ribbon tweet, Accutron mid range.

Greetings to all the old timers!

Those are some beautiful speakers. Bet they sound marvelous. After restoring a 1970 El Camino and 71 Skylark I sold them and just drive a 350Z now. No more restoring for me cause my old back can't take it any more. Now that I've retired I plan on doing as little as possible.
I currently have some Kef 107/2's that I love for 2 channel music and some Revel Performa F30's w/ matching CC for HT. No telling what I'll have down the road. Here's some of the gear I've owned:

Hope all is well with you and the family.

I had been in Oklahoma and Kansas where it was roasting hot and bone chilling cold with exciting tornadoes in between. The job took me here, pricey but the weather is moderate and I get to aggravate my liberal neighbors.

If my son didn't live in Seattle I'd probably move to the Mt. Shasta area. Lived there for a year and loved it. Some very good hunting and fishing there. Gotta stay close to family. Oregon has some beautiful areas. Of course most jobs are in or near the cities.

Wr were just out to Pendleton and Madras for different scenery. Going south to Roseburg an then over to the coast and back up next trip. So easy to do a overnighter and see a lot.

So has the tablet nearly killed the PC?

    Re: The Bar

Well I am responding on my tablet, but for me it is a kitchen table/travel device. Mine is a Surface 2 Pro and as such has Windows 8.1, which is way better on a tablet than a desktop. I like this thing but I still use desktops mostly. I like the 27 inch monitor too much. This is good though, it syncs my Winphone calender with my Win 8.1 computers and I respond to e-mail better on the tablet than the phone. 85 to 90% of my "work" is on the desktop.

So no I don't think the PC is dead. (I still have a land line too.)
