    Re: How many ghz is your brain???

    I think the brain processes many more simultaneous threads than any computer can at any time, and rather instantaneously. The speed of electricity itelf. Nueron to nueron. I don't even think there's a number for the amount of nerve-endings in the human body as far as that goes.

    Think it also has a fuzzy logic that no program can ever perfect as much as the brain has. It could never make its own decisions to the degree the brain does based on all the various senses it uses to process the environment, while at the same time considering learned experience over decades. As said, the storage is like having ga-jigabytes of on-die instant-access memory. And if the brain gets confused, funny, it doesn't have to stop. Furthermore, a brain can rewire itself and even activate places it's never used automatically.

    In simple terms I think a processor can do what it is meant to do better than a brain: Math.

    how many FLOPS can your brain do?

    Re: How many ghz is your brain???

    well, is you brain an older 128 bit brain, or did your parents pay the premium for the 256 bit? assuming you got a 256 bit brain, i would say approximately 13494 terahertz, but that is ofcourse compared to a inhell chip, so in reality( compared to AMD chips) probably approximately 1 mhz...

How far to twist the body, arms, legs and at what rate to do it...etc....etc. Think of a brain as a configuration of multiple 25 hz cpus....many 25 hz cpus. For the task that we do, this array of cpus is faster than the fastest processor in the world. Parallel processing is what we are good at, single-processing is what a computer is good at.

    Parallel processing vs. single processing..that does seem like the best way to break it down I think.

    brain = master of multi tasking
    cpu = master of one
