i dont know if its vintage....but ive always wanted a Ford Sierra RS500. we have something similar in appearance to it in America called the Merkur XR4Ti, but its rear wheel drive with a turbo'd 4 banger. theyre a dime a dozen here....but in the right hands can be turned into somehting short of a rocket ship .

Austin Healey Sprite...1967-1969. Take the top down and buzz around town...

Edit: Austins are the same as MG's

My boss is always fixing up old triumphs and sunbeams. He used to drive a rusted out sunbeam to work that made your hole car smell if you were unfortunate enough to get stuck behind him. Now he's got a tr8 and a tr6 that work and about 5 more at home in pieces. I must say, the tr8 is actually kind of nice looking.

A friend of mine was into Brit cars for some time.
TR7, TR8, and MG Midget convertibles. Fun cars but they were forever
    having electrical problems.

TR7's are absolute rust buckets too

The only oldish car i'd ever buy would be an XJS if I could afford to run it

my brother had a sunbeam as his first car. it was pretty cool. he got it for free from our neighbor across the street. wasnt in great shape...pretty rusty actually, but it was pretty neat. my favorite thing about the sunbeam is that you can wedge a smallblock ford between the fenders

yeah those are bad ass....i wonder why they never brought them to the states. they would have a hell of a market....same as the STi and Mitsubishi Evo. ive always loved the British escorts, sierras, sapphires, and mondeos. wonder why ford dont bring them out here?

My mums boyfriend has a mondeo, have it if you want it, 130bhp and heavy as hell, slow POS.
My sisters dad just bought a subaru WRX STi 2004 320BHP in august. Brand new from the dealers for 21k, •••• me it's fast. We had 170mph out of it with some left. Gears seem like they are short but they really aint.
Lovely subaru blue with gold alloys, and a few weeks later he curbed them. fu(k.

yeah mondeos are heavy....the american equivalent to the mondeo is the ford contour. the SVT contour is 200hp, but its still a brick because its heavy. i like the way they look though.
