Knew my Party/Candidate had virtually no chance going in.
But that's not the point IMO.

The two main parties are very good at perpetuating the myth that we must
choose between a Giant Douche and a Turd Sandwich. But I didn't play that game
and vote for the Party/Candidate which most closely supports my personal views.

Ha! Jeez. Youll have to stock up on violins and Kleenex It will be fun to see how folks react. Maybe we can have a post election brawl where both sides can find resolution in a good old fashioned gladiator deal.....maybe Andrew and Jhvrball goin at it with chainsaws or something.

Lol, no kidding. Gotta like how "South Park" just tells it like it is . Btw, I'll be voting third party as well.

My choice never stood a chance of winning, so I suppose I'm already able to wail here.
Promote then, as an object of primary importance, institutions for the general diffusion of knowledge. In proportion as the structure of a government gives force to public opinion, it is essential that public opinion should be enlightened.

To bad those "messages" don't have more teeth to them to show whet a lot of people are saying.

I was thinking of posting a similar thread asking for suggestions on "theme songs" for the winning and losing candidates. On a related note, I think if Bush wins then Hillary's would be something akin to "Walkin' on Sunshine" given her clear path to the '08 nomination.

Clinton '08 .... hmmm, interesting. You think America will be ready to consider
    a female President?

I was talking about national impact, I don't know how a 3rd party with better ideas or outlook would get enough traction to shakeup the status quo. Seems all but locked up between the 2 we have now, and I think this election shows that a newcomer is going to be snuffed right off the ballots if possible.

By all accounts, you may have posted this thread several weeks early.

The Internet! It's already become a big factor in this election, and there's a lot less control of what people view vs TV and radio.

Remember Ross Perot? That was only yesterday.... and the dems and repubs haven't changed much for the better since then. I think the time is very ripe for a third party to emerge.

It all starts at the local level.
Like writing your State Govt reps about lowering the signatures required for a candidate to even get on the ballot.
Even though we are voting for a National representative, the number required veries greatly
    from State to State.
