I would agree. IMO, those '92 debates made both of the other two big candidates
look a little silly, especially at the time when National issues were of paramount concern.
The only problem is, the factional split of the Reform party in more recent elections
turned off a lot of people.
Also, I think they have changed the entrance requirements for the Prez debates since
the '92 election too. If I remember correctly, there was a big stink about them changing
the number of sigs required just weeks ahead of the first '00 debate. As if they didn't
want Nader up there making a fool of them the way Perot did in '92.
Then there was the Nader/audience ticket debacle.
