New liquid setup - lots of questions

I haven't water cooled in quite a while and even when I did it was because I got a cheap all in one system free which eventually leaked. Anyway, I'm looking to build an entire setup based on this:

    http://www.dangerden.com/mall2/more_...asp?fmmore=237

I'm also looking at a dual 120mm black ice radiator.

That is unless someone can direct me to a better 6800 block. I probably won't be OC'ing the proc to incredible levels so I'm considering pelt cooling or anything like that but I'm looking for suggestions on a good waterblock for a neo2 plat with 1/2" barbs. Does a three prong cpu block really help? I saw that danger den has a solid silver gpu block but I care much more about video than cpu so I don't need to spend $130 on a cpu block.

Unfortunately my video card physically covers my chipset fan so I don't know if I can get a waterblock on there.

I want to put my pump, radiator and reservoir in another room about 7' or 8' away from my PC. How powerful of a pump do I need to do so? It will also have to push the water up 3 vertical feet (the 3 feet included in the 7 to 8 feet)

    Suggestions?

Both the rbx and tdx are good blocks. The difference will be 1-2c at best. Keep in mind that a 3 barb block needs a larger pump which will add more heat to the system.

I have both the silver and the copper version. Performance is the same.

My stand alone water cooled system has a z-chip on the nf3 chipset.....but its not needed.
    Nf3 w/ z-chip-----42c max
    NF3 w/ stock HS--44c max

How powerful of a pump do I need to do so?
Need some more info. Will the gpu and cpu block be run in series or parallel? Only one pc? All 1/2" barbs and tube? What kind of res will you be using?(using a large pump wont help if its not supplied with enough water)

That's too bad, I really thought that was so cool.

Ok, I'd rather keep it simple and stick with the two barb blocks then.

That is a sexy 6800 block Dillusion, and cheaper too.

However all of this is a non issue if I can find a really good air (and quiet) cooler for the 6800. However I haven't run across anything better than the stock cooling on it yet. (gainward)

Yes, it will just be for one PC running in series. All 1/2" barbs would be nice to keep things simple if possible. Since I'll be running the pump, radiator, res, from the unfinished side of the basement I can have a huge external res.

The TDX and NV68 will give you a very nice setup.

Use a dual 120mm rad, like the BIX2 dual 120mm.

A good strong pump like the MCP650 everything in series. All 1/2.

All this make for a kickass setup.

The NV68 is a work of art, and VERY effective. 30C difference in temps on the stock cooler under load.

For my part only the third statement is correct...
Except maybe for the second statement if you meant to say "good looking", but certainly not as in "cooler temps".

    CD

PS: Still waiting to see a "real" performance comparison between US and german setups...
