    Uninstall Cool n Quiet

    After reading various threads on this app i have decided to chuck it,just wondering if i do the windows uninstall first,then reboot and turn it off in bios or the other way around,any ideas welcome.

    To be honest I never had any problem with it performance-wise after running for a while without it and then installing it. On that basis i'm sticking with it, unless someone can provide some hard evidence that it harms performance.

    what is it??!?!? i have had it disabled via bios from day 1...what should i do??

    It lowers the clock and voltage and drops the fan speed on your CPU when its under no/minimal, thus reducing noise and heat (hence the name 'cool & quiet'). As soon as your CPU usage goes it up it throttles everything up to full power again.

    Some people don't like it, but i've not noticed any performance problems and it cranks everything up to full power instaneously when your load goes up again.

    I think you also have to have an AMD approved heat sink.
