    K8T Neo2-FIR OC

This probably not a big deal to some of you but this is my first attempt at OCing and I'm rather happy. I finally figured out how to lock the AGP/PCI on this puppy. BIOS is v3.2. I set the AGP Frequency in the Cell Menu to 66MHz. I also upped the memory voltage to 2.6. I'm running 1T memory timing and Spread Spectrum is disabled. The HT and memory are running at 220MHz. Default multi of 11 is used so the CPU speed is 2420MHz. Memory timings are set to Auto except Tras is 10. I didn't run Prime95 or SuperPi. For me, if I can play UT2004 online for 4 hours without stability issues then it's stable enough. Idle temp is 36C and temp during UT2004 was 40C. OEM HSF.

    Here's a link to a screenshot.

I am currently running at 225 HT. I had it up to 230 with Prime95 running for 30mins with no errors. I went to 235 HT and had a failure with Prime in about 5 minutes. Moved it down to 230 and prime failed at the same spot. CPU volts were at 1.67 (CPU ID).

I got it up to 2.5GHz and Prime95 ran for 28 minutes without errors. I may let it run longer when I have the time. I tried 2.6GHz but Windows would not boot. It might have booted if I raised the CPU voltage to 10% but I don't want to run at the hairy edge. To get to 2.5GHz, I lowered the multiplier to 10x and raised the FSB to 250. I also disabled 1T and ran the HT frequency at 800MHz. RAM timings were set to SPD except Tras which was set to 10. Memory voltage was at 2.8 and I left the HT voltage on Auto. While I was running at 2.5GHz my CPU temp was 52C. A little too warm for me. I think a different CPU fan might let me run at higher speeds. Screenshot.

So You have a 130nm 3500+ cpu, What brand and type of heatsink do You have?

Oh and do You know what Your cpu temps are?

I have a 130nm chip and am using the stock cpu fan. My temps are in my previous post. I don't have an idle temp yet though. Too bad the winnie's weren't out when I bought the CPU.

EDIT. I lowered the CPU voltage to 5% which brought down my temps to 44C with Prime95 runnning. Ran Prime for 2 hours with no errors.
