    Recommendations for Heatsink & Fan!

Im gonna be upgrading my stock hs and fan soon, but im new to all this overclocking business.. Im pretty clueless which brands are good, and which to stay away from.... I read that my cpu could oc to at least a 2.4 which is where i would like it...so im looking for a really good heatsink and fan.

My case cooling is pretty good with 2 120's (one intake front, other exaust in back), side window fan (80mm) which blows directly on top of my hsf. Power supply has 3 80mm fans as well....my temps are currently running anywhere from 36-39 idle....gets up to 46-47 during gaming according to SpeedFan.

So if you could please point me in the right direction on brands to buy...and what specs to look for the most. Thanks

Thermaltake Volcano 12 Venus is a good choice as well. You can find one just about anywhere on the web.

Thermalright XP90, or XP120, if the 120 will fit on your MB. Around $35 for the 90, plus another $8 or 10 for a fan.

I recently replaced my noisy Volcano 12 with an SI-97 and a Thermaltake SilentCat 92mm fan (1COOLPC.com) with great results. Just a plug for the SilentCat if you go with that size heatsink.

I plan on ordering a SI-97 today, I already have a Thermaltake Smart Fan II will that get the job done??? I always run it at about 75-85% of its full speed.
