I know that everyone has their own ram religion...Im trying to decide which brand I should worship..lol

I know that mushkin is the best..but I am looking at either Crucial pc133cas2 Mosel pc133cas2 or corsair pc133cas2

I have read reviews for each one of these and thay each say that they are the best compared to one another....

I bought a Corsair PC150 256MB stick about two weeks ago. I'm very happy with it. I took it up to 160mhz with no problems.

Running two sticks of128meg revision 3 from Mushkin pc133 at 140, smooth as silk. Bios setting at the fastest memory timing. I have no doubt it will go all the way to 150 cas2 as advertised.

    Thumbs up

Many reviews back me up when I say Corsair is
hard to beat. If you want to do it right get the
PC133 Cas 2, it's a quality product. I also believe that Corsair DDR Cas 2 is the best on the market.

Just finished benching 128MB PC2100 Cas 2. Most
PC2100 on the market is Cas 2.5

On a new K7Master (6341), with AMD 761 north bridge. Hard to beat that 761 chip either

    Athlon 1.33GHz @ 1440
    FSB/PCI 138/34MHz
    Mulitplier 10.5

    SiSoft Sandra Memory Bench:
    ALU/RAM 613MB
    FPU/RAM 781MB

    CPU Benchmark:
    Dhrystone ALU 4043 MIPS
    Whetstone FPU 1948 MFLOPS

    Installed another 128MB Corsair PC2100 Cas 2
    for a total of 256MB
Lowered settings to 2-2-2 and jacked the SiSoft
    Memory Benchmarks score to:

    Int ALU/RAM 654
    Float FPU/RAM 836

This goes a long way to making the case for DDR
and the AMD chipset but tells you little about Corsair. But it's interesting how much difference Cas 2 makes ! One thing about Corsair DDR Cas 2, it isn't priced low like most of the other brands that are pushing Cas 2.5 DDR

Last week I used a MSI K7T Turbo (KT133a), which was stable but ran hot. The defaut voltage is set
way too high. Again I used an Athlon 1.33GHz

Using an off brand PC133 Cas3, SiSoft Memory:

    @ 1.33GHz ALU/RAM 370, FPU 390
    @ 1.44GHz ALU/RAM 405, FPU 431

Later this week I'm expecting some Corsair PC2400
Cas 2. Again I'm expecting good performance and
will up the FSB/PCI and try for 1.5GHz

Anyway, I always use Corsair on my personal boxes.

    Cool

For me good memories are Mushkin & Crucial. Definitely go for Mushkin for high performance & stability. My 1 stick 256MB Mushkin Rev 2 can go up to fsb 166 cas 3-3-2 7/9 max on CUSL2 with PIII 800EB, also at 160 cas 2-2-2 7/9. On my A7V133 + 1.2GHz TBird (200), can go for 160 (166 only at windows logo). Stable at 150 with default vcore 1.75 Volt. Waiting for MC462 for better cooling, then I will up to 166 again, at least 160.

Go for Crucial for lower prices at decent quality. Now Crucial has 20% reduced price on 256MB PC133 Cas 2 at only $67. Nice performance also, and is known to reach at 159 fsb cas 2-2-2 stable. At least it can go 155 2-2-2 stable.

    i don't know about U.S.

but corsair is brutally more expensive than crucial in canada..i have had no problem with crucial, my pc-133 overclocks to 155 minimum (as far as my other components will allow me to go currently..memory may do more) and the price is marginally more than generic micron..don't know about munchkin price!

wish i could help you out tenax by buying one for you in US$ (having you reimburse me of course), but shipping to canada is plain insane! that is something they really need to work on, i could drive to your place cheaper! >jk<
