    A64 2800+ Clawhammer???

    I have a new 2800+, & on cpuz it says it's a Clawhammer. How can I differentiate between a Clawhammer & a Newcastle??

    Try uninstall old software of CPU-Z and download latest new software: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php - it same to me when I changed new motherboard and processor and didnt use new latest software as it came up as S754 "Clawhammer" but I uninstalled and reinstall the new one and it came up as S939 "Winchester" 3500+ with 90nm so it worked ok... try and see if the new software is ok with correct info.

    You cna look at the chip itself. Unless the last two letters of the part number are AX, it's a clawhammer with half the L2 cache disabled.
