I suppose that's the end of the bioses mods for the NF7-S2.

The best one was Merlins D26 TP CpC-Off.

Everybodys moved off to the 64 AMDs.

I'm still running my more than two years old NF7-S2 with a two years old 1700+ @ 3400+.
I just recently got a 6800LE @ 16/6 350/900 added to my NF7-S2 system and don't see any reason to change my system for some time yet.
    1st PC:
    XP1700+ @ 2.2Ghz (9.5x 230FSB 1.65V), Abit NF7-S2 Bios D26-Merlin's CPCoff, MDT 3x 512MB DDR400 @ DDR460, 2x 160GB Samsung, Toshiba1712, LG GSA 4163B, LiteOn52246S, Sparkle 6800GT @ Ultra, Enermax 431Watt

    2nd:
    XP2400+ Sempron @ 2Ghz, Asrock K7VT4A+, 1024MB DDR400, 120GB Samsung, Ricoh DVD+RW, Geforce 4200Ti 128MB @ 300/600, NT 350Watt

Either that or they moved to other socket A boards... "DFI"...

So, to anyone reading this thread, could you recommend a bios that is still available for the nf7-s 2.0 mobo? i am using a 2500mobile IQYHA and have a new 2600 IQYHA for backup.

using a raptor 74gb--so stable serial ata is crucial
    just purchased 6800GT from newegg
    2x512mb buffalo bh-5 memory

I am gonna try to find the d26 mantaray w/logo off, cpc on, but not sure if this is a good bios for gaming and not even sure what FSB I should be shooting for. definitely not trying for the super high FSBs b/c of the potential of too much equipment to damage.

alternatively, i have read the guids on the nf3 boards, which are nearing obsoletion now, but to run agp, i will need one of these boards w/a 939 a64, right? If you have a recommendation there, that's great too!

Socket A is still fun I will probably buy a new motherboard for a new XP 2700 machine and use my ABIT KV7 for the 2100.

    I have a ABIT AV8 for a A64, and I think I might get a EPoX next.

I too want to stay AGP for a good bit longer.

Don't know about obsolescence at least as far as the 939 boards are concerned. DFI hasn't even released their's yet.

The 9NDA3+ is a great board. Just make sure that you get a Rev 2.1 so you have all the Vcore options up to +.35v. Some people reported that the Rev 1.0 boards only go to +.20v.

Sirus, I think you have to Download to your HDD, (I make a folder in 'Mydocuments' and call it BIOS and download the file to there... the file is zipped so then you have to extract it then send those components to your floppy with the Awdflash on it.

You may have done that, but if not try it.

I've updated to the D27_TaiPan_3.19_28.12.04 which I presume is CpC Off.

But my Sandra shows it as 2CMD and the band bright is rather low compare to previouses...
