C'mas getting a little too "white" for me....

.... this season...... So many houses in my neighborhood this year are frighfully white... with plain ole white lights everywhere - windows, bushes, trees. All covered in white. Heh. My wife suggests that they are symbolic of candles?
Sheeshe. I think I'll take a trip over to the neighborhoods where colored lights are the rage -then maybe I'll feel more like it's Chirstmas.... :-P :-)

at least your title likely grabs attention

i know here at least, the "icicle" style lights are in, and those are usually white. that contributes to that. it sure seems like the colourful decorations arent in as much these days.

My Karate teacher came over from Japan late one year in the early 70's. He was blown away that there were so many whorehouses in the US.

Yup, they used what we call christmas lights to signify a brothel.

What's wrong with white xmas lights? It's better than some hodge podge of ugly colors that don't coordinate with one another. White goes with everything and makes the neighborhood look good.

Heh. I cruised the neighborhood more thoroughly tonight for grins....One house. I mean one house out of 250 in the subdivision, had those bigass clunky multicolored lights on a string [from the 1950's] around one lonely bush....

    Ahhhh the memories!

You'd like my house Tmack. I hate white lights too. Reminds me too much of a Subway shop. Anyway I have transparent red and green alternating C9's (the big ones) outlining my roof. NO one else has these anywhere in town that I've seen, yet they're always sold out at Hobby Lobby . I don't have them dangling around like my neighbor does either. Each one is stapled to acheive a perfect look.
