Alright now this is interesting... busted out the original MOHAA for some entertainment over christmas break and it won't run... I'm stumped actually, I can run BF1942, Vietnam, UT2K4, NFSU, NFSU2, Warcraft III, Call of Duty, Doom3, and even the SPEARHEAD expansion for MOHAA but the original just will not cooperate. I triped patching to v1.11, no help. When I click the shortcut, or the Play option from the CD, the splash screen shows and then nothing. I finally got a nocd patch and I loaded the game, but as soon as I try to start a New Game it crashes.
Whats the deal?

Install the game in C:Programfiles/EAGames. NOT C:Programfiles(86x)/EAGames. That will fix your Problem!
