    Unhappy Replacing the fan on Vantec Aeroflow!

    I was cleaning my computer and my CPU cooling unit, specifically the fan, stopped working. It's a Vantec Aeroflow VA4-C7040 heatsink + fan model. I suspect the magnetism mechanism on the fan ceased functioning so now I need a new fan to go on top of my heatsink.

    I'm wondering if this fan will fit ==> Y.S. Tech 74x74x15mm T.M.D Fan (PD1270153B-2F).

    Is anyone familiar with the dimensions of the Aeroflow fan or tell me if this one will fit my heatsink and provide the same amount of cooling?

    I need my computer operational again fast so your quick response is appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Re: Replacing the fan on Vantec Aeroflow!

    Thanks, my fan suddenly started working again today. The new problem is that after re-seating the fan on top of the heatsink today, the CPU temperature suddenly shot up by 10C and climbing still higher!

    Are there any tips to seating the fan on the heatsink so as to achieve max heat dissipation?

    Thanks!
