Will a small psu dammage my computer?

i recently asked a question if my 350w psu would be big enough for my 6800ultra and A64 3500+ and was told it most likely wouldn't.

the thing is i am now broke and cant afford a new one.

can i dammage my computer by having too small a psu? Using what knowledge i have i guess know but that electronics are so delcate so i am not sure.

If there is any chance i can dammage my new computer i think i can scrounge around under the sofa for loose change for a new colermaster 450

maybe, but most likely it wont run/post or if it does it might have random restarts, and then something could happen, so yes i suggest to look into a new psu and do some research on them my suggestions (without experince) fortron, ocz, enermax since your limited on money

Man that 6800ultra draws close to 80watts by itself. that 350W might not be enough. I have a 510W and it was not enough to run a 6800U and all my system components. got a second unit just the video card. no problems now

Unless that PSU is really high quality, I doubt you'll have enough juice to run your PC. GENERALLY, you can't hurt your system by running a PSU that is too small, but most likely, your computer will be really unstable, that is, if it even starts/posts.
