SUNNYVALE, CALIF - January 10, 2005 - AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced
the company will join HP as the exclusive partner of the "YOU + HP
Experience," powering HP desktop and notebook PCs featured on the tour
with AMD Athlon(tm) 64 processor technology. The "YOU + HP Experience"
features custom, hands-on demonstrations that showcase the versatile
power of AMD64 technology for music, photography, video, home/office
computing solutions and gaming. By collaborating with HP, AMD has an
opportunity to directly reach consumers as they interact with AMD Athlon
64 processor-based desktop and notebook PCs. The interactive tour will
continue to participate at the largest consumer events around North
America through November 2005 including SuperBowl XXXIX, NCAA Final Four
and the Boston Marathon.

structure, offers free admission and provides an array of entertaining

processor-based HP products in a dozen "immersion" concourses - with
exhibits that showcase the depth and breadth of HP's digital
entertainment and photography products, as well as those products

Since March 2004, the "YOU + HP Experience" has been centrally
positioned at more than 30 high-profile events in the United States and
Canada; visited by more than 900,000 people; and has generated a 95
percent favorable response from visitors. In 2005, the tour is expected
to welcome its one-millionth visitor to test-drive HP and AMD products
at major consumer events in North America. The tour features
opportunities for consumers to:
* Experience the powerful combination of AMD64 technology and the
HP Media Center PC system in a guided tour of the World of Digital
Entertainment concourse with music, photo, video and TV. Consumers will
also learn how to easily replicate and extend those capabilities
throughout their own home.
* Record a live digital music session or experience a "green
screen" video bike ride with Lance Armstrong. With an AMD64-powered
digital studio and HP solutions, visitors will be able to commemorate
their experience by recording digital video footage of their ride or
burning their musical performance onto a CD.

technology in the "CyberLounge" to print and send photos, e-mail family
and friends, keep up with the news of the day or shop online.
