    I've ordered a few things from them recently. No problems. Fairly fast shipping. One item (a case fan) was backordered for 2 weeks but that happens sometimes.

    I've bought quite a bit from Frys/Outpost over the years and have always had incredibly fast delivery from them. One example is a hard drive I bought last year. I bought it on a Thursday night around 10pm MST and specified overnight delivery as it wasn't that much more than 2 day. I figured I'd get the drive on Monday as I ordered so late. It came in the very next morning! What I'm saying is that from the time I ordered the drive to the time I had it in my hands was 12 hours!!!

    They claim they can ship items out the same day if the order is put through by 10pm MST and so far they've done it every time for me. Personally, I like Frys better than anyone including Newegg and ZipZoom. They have some incredible prices every once in a while, especially on hard drives.

    addendum to my new try at Buy.com. Someone needs to hit me over the head if i ever say I'm going to buy from them again. This is the E-Mail chain in reverse chronological order so start from the bottom and read up






    as that is fine all I am saying is that I made an error in shipping because
    i assumed that free shipping meant free shipping.and If you truly value
    customer satisfaction a good company would change the shipping since the
    item has yet to be shipped from your warehouse so you would not be doing
    anything except sending me my order later and refunding my shipping fees.

    Another great Buy.com feature. You can only cancel an order within 1/2 hour of placing it. After that you have to refuse shipment or return. Just a big PITA its a great price for the monitor i bougth. @ $20 cheaper then anywhere else. Its the oly reason i ordered from then again after my last bad experience. The shipping is only $11 but it's the principle of the thing that gets me. They have such poor customer service. They just give the same answer over and over and never really respond to your inquires.

    i willneverbuy anything @ buy.com!!!
    they got me for $180.00 several months ago on some processors that i ordered.
    they canceled my ordered and kept my payment and even though it says right on their website that if they cancel an order that payment will be immediately
    refunded they refuse to give me a refund.
    the email address for the person they said was actually responsible for the refund is defunct also. so nope no buy.com for this guy ever again

    Did you call your credit card company? Undelivered products are grounds for a charge back to your credit card. They will ask you to try to resolve it first with buy.com but you have already done that. Some CC companies will even try to contact the company and resolve it for you.

    I've bought a few things from Buy.com and have had good luck, but I do hate how they try to sneak a shipping charge in when they state free shipping. I always look out for this though as Amazon does the exact same thing. I wonder how many people miss that in the order process?

    Because NE started charging tax for NJ as a result of the "local" warehouse that saves no real time, I started using ZipZoomFly; for a year things were good. However free shipping gets slower and slower.

    My last order a little under $1000 was a big screw up. They took 4 days to process and shipped the wrong version MB.

    CS has been no help, they will RMA (free shipping) but I'm then stuck with 10 days without one box running. I offered to accept the wrong MB if I got a discount on the correct MB, I want to buy another + other stuff. - No interest.

    ZZF is now in my official time out chair.

    I'd be annoyed too if newegg charged me tax but I love them having a NJ warehouse. I get most things I order within 1-2 days!

    What pisses me off is that Newegg still taxes me, but unlike before, its taking 3-4 days to get to me from NJ! At least before, I got things next day since im in CA. Now it just sucks.

    NE is still good but with 7% added they lost their edge, plus from the warehouse to the local shipping depot they drive past my house and deliver the next day ...

    Trying Mwave for an order, ChiefValue is normally cheaper than NE (yes the same co) but has the tax problem. I've been happy with my first 2 orders though.

    NewEgg RMA

    Newegg sent me a dub CPU. I was so upset that I returned a WD SATA drive too. Yea, a temper tantrum, but I wanted to send everything back but didnít; including a nice 8600 GT. I told my 13 year-old nephew that we would build a computer together for his birthday. I think he was really disappointed when he couldnít take his new computer home and play the video games that we were talking about. Newegg RMA process was efficient as expected and they didnít charge me $15.00 for restocking the HDD, but they did charge $26.99 for the combo deal reduction. The CPU was defective but because the RMA included a return item, they didnít automatically send me a CPU replacement. I called customer service, ordered a new CPU and explained my situation and they upgraded shipping to two days so that I would have the new CPU by the weekend. In short Newegg will continue to get my business.
