K8N-E Deluxe: new beta bios version 1008.

I belive asus should work closer to forum users, because the lack of info from their side (concerning bioschanges), is at least holding me back from further testing.

Anyone tried the newest version of BIOS 1008? It's at version #10 now (dated March 22). Anyone got the changelog?

I installed this version 1008.010 on my system and currrently tested it. The major change I noticed concerns Smart Q-Fan parameters handling: you can now set any temperature threshold value. That is a good news, instead of a range value, you can now freely set a temp.

unfortunetly, I also noticed that my MB lost power fan speed value. It seems that K8N-E Dlx could not read this sensor anymore (Antec Sonara PSU)... Have to investigate further.

that is very good news to those people who relied heavily on Q-Fan! I know there were about 4-5 of them on this forum...

All RAM timings gone, except for T1 cmd. WTF??

"Q-fan" is replaced with "advandes fan settings" something which actually works just the way I want (used speedfan earlier, but now its not needed anymore). With the right settings, I can finally limit my fanspeed to never go below 1500rpm GOOD WORK ASUS!

Definitely keep us posted on both Q-FAN and your O/C!! I tried speedfan but i wasn't in the mood to learn how to use it. I am still waiting for Q-FAN to be finally fixed (non-beta bios release) but it sounds like it will happen soon. On 1.06 it worked only once, running on average between 800-1200RPM @ 38C.

Tried some o/c last night, no success.

Does anyone run this board with a 3200+@ > 2500Mhz? And if, whats settings do you use then?

I can run at 2300, but no more. If I go over that limit just one mhz then I get the black screen on bootup.

I can't even run in sync with this mobo because of the instability with vdimm volts. I can however run no probs async at 2300, but...

Anybody got a DFI to sell me?

Mine is a 3400, but I run it 11 x 236 mem @236,
1.65Vcore, 2.7 Vdimm
Anything over 2.6g and Prime95 fails in an hour, even with max Vcore (watercooled)

I've got my 3200 @ 2.5 check my sig for details, i'd just wish i could get my memory higher with a lower multi but everytime i do that i get bsod
