    not much of an upgrade

I just went from an AMD Xp 2700+ on an ASUS A7n8x with a radeon 9700 pro 128 meg card to a AMD 64 3500+ with a Msi k8 Neo8 Platinum an X700 Pro 256 meg card . And I can't see much of a speed increase in games or anything between the 2. Am I missing something? Or was this not even worth the upgrade. My 3dmark2005 benchmark jumped about 900 points, but was still getting 5 FPS on some tests.

I do not think that was much of an upgrade gpu wise. You should defintely see improvements in load times at least.

yea, the gpu isn't a big upgrade. the 9700 and x700 are so close it is silly.

if you can, trade in the gpu on an actual upgrade like a 6800 or x800.
