Winchester is 90nm with low watt, NC is 130nm... I used 3500+ Winchester and still much cooler and here the model number:

    Newcastle: ADA3500DEP4AW
    Winchester:ADA3500DIK4BI

    get cpu-z.

it'll tell you whether you have a .13 or .09 cpu. winchester is also about 5% faster than newcastle at the same speed.

5%? No way. The chip design is basically unaltered and simply changing the manufacturing process does not give any performance benefits.

pehu, anand and others have tested this.
many games show 3-6% improvement at the same speed.

it was not unaltered; there were SOME core enhancements made.

You may very well conclude that the 90nm core is faster than the older 130nm core, but the difference is certainly closer to 0% than 5%, especially if you go by average results and don't concentrate in any one particular benchmark.
