on Soltek SL-K8AN2E-GR and the SL-K8TPRO-939 Motherboards
On My K8AN2E it dropped my idle temp by about 12 degrees and my load temp by about 9
Hope this info helps someone![]()

Great news Loctout! I was leary of being the first one to give the sink a shot on the 754 setup. The quesstion first came up a few months back I'm sure you remember. Thanks for being the first one to take the step. I am always kinda skeptical until I actually hear first hand or see a pic before I go out the door with wallet in hand.
A couple of questions
1. Noise
2. How much work ws involved, any mods required etc?
Thanks for the heads up.

1. for me, very little. I used the 120MM case fan from a antec lanboy case. I only have my 3400 doing 2.55 gig at stock voltages so no major heat issue for me.A couple of questions
1. Noise
2. How much work ws involved, any mods required etc
2. You need to change the plastic retention plate. Although it could be done with the board in the case, it'll go easier if you remove the board. I think it might be pretty difficult to attach the heatsink with the board installed too
I'll add a pic of it on the SL-K8AN2E-GR in a LanBoy case later today.

I have a K8T 939 board and I installed a Zalman 7700 ALCu cooler. The cpu with the fan turned all the way down runs 27c. I think most of the remaining noise is coming from the case fan running right off the psu. If I find a good looking fan controller I will try it out and see if the noise level goes lower.Originally Posted by LoctOut

If it does fit, I'm a happy camper and will be ordering one very soon.
Thanks
