I'd sell the processor in a heartbeat, probably one of the video-cards and the two non-raptor drives, and get a cheaper CPU. Then I could afford the taxes, maybe. Then, what's the point in winning it?
...Does anybody else feel like Congress simply bailed themselves out? Isn't that what they really mean by a bailout?

Haha...yeah that's true...never thought about the taxes associated with it. I wonder how much the taxes would be?

Probably around 20-30% of the $7500 if it's looked at like a gift. Otherwise about 8% if it's just sales tax.

Federal, state, and other applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Out of budget. Sorry. Don't want it.

well I would spec the hardware at not more than $4500 tops (realistically more like $4000). I guess the software makes up the rest of the "price" although in my opinion most software that expensive is a waste of money.

LOL several dually systems for far less money would smoke that machine.

    And the software bundle sucks.

GF ultras? LOL - for that much money, well custom fire GL and quatro comes to mind in a single card and will smoke the two of them.

    and regular DDR? LOL.

7500, would build 4 of those at my prices. not to mention it isnt even set up for longhorn.

BTW - no taxes if won out of the given state it hails from.

CAD stuff? One must know how to use and set up equipment before one makes assumptions about any particular PC gear. Just ask any game designer what they use for work stations- they are not your "typical" gaming rigs. And it wasnt flaming, it's fact- that is not flaming by any means what so ever.

This probably isn't the best place to get into a pissing contest over CAD card gaming capabilities, but their drivers are designed for maxium CAD performance, and stability, not gaming.
