SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 23, 2005 - Intel Corporation today announced that two senior executives are leaving the company to pursue other interests. They are John H.F. Miner, vice president and president of Intel Capital, Intel's strategic investment arm; and Pamela L. Pollace, vice president and director, Corporate Communications Group.
The company said Arvind Sodhani, senior vice president and currently treasurer, will become president of Intel Capital effective immediately. Sodhani, 51, joined Intel in Europe in 1981, and became assistant treasurer in 1984 and treasurer in 1988. He received a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan in 1978. His replacement as treasurer will be named later.
Miner, 50, joined Intel in 1983. Prior to Intel Capital, he headed various Intel groups responsible for products including communications, enterprise servers, and desktop PC motherboards. He was named president of Intel Capital in 2003. Miner will leave Intel on June 1.
Pollace, 51, joined Intel in 1987 as corporate spokesperson, and later directed all of Intel's worldwide press relations. She led Intel's corporate marketing from 2000 to 2004 and became Corporate Communications Group director in 2004. She will leave Intel on May 1.
"John Miner and Pam Pollace have been key contributors to Intel's success for many years," said Craig Barrett, Intel CEO. "John successfully developed key new growth areas for Intel in PC building blocks, the enterprise back office, and later in communications products. More recently he has managed our very successful strategic venture investing program. Pam oversaw our press communications through major Intel eras and later led corporate marketing in the successful worldwide launch of Intel® Centrino™ mobile technology.
"We wish both Pam and John all the best, and congratulate Arvind Sodhani," said Barrett. "I am confident that Intel Capital will be in very good hands under Arvind's management."
