    OEM or Box CPU?

Is it ok to get the OEM version for the 1.3MHz 266 (fsb), or I should get the box one?

    Thank you,

hsf= heat sink fan if you are going to overclock[oc] then you will want a better one then what is provided by the retail box if not oc then that hsf is fine

    Re: OEM or Box CPU?

Some *experts* claim that retail processors are better yields. This opens up a huge can of worms for debate. My personal experience is OEM selection.

Unless you want the standard HSF, just go with an OEM. Retail has a better warranty, but you said you want to OC so you'll end up voiding the warranty anyway. I don't know about the yields, I only have experience with OEMs. I personally wouldn't pay the extra cash for a heatsink I won't use, a box, and the AMD sticker that comes with the retails. AMD will give you free stickers if you ask nicely anyway
