RAM question with A8N SLI Dlx

I've got 4 512MB DIMMS, two of which are rated 2.5-4-4-8 and two are 3.0-4-4-8.

The BIOS autosets the CL at 2.5. Is this OK or should I manually set it to 3.0?

I've manually set them to DDR400 (we all know that 4 sticks on pre-Venice cpu get downclocked to DDR333 automatically).

Anyone experiencing stability problems when manually going to DDR400? CPU is 3500+ Clawhammer.

I would try the 2.5 but run memtest86 first on it at that setting to see if it passes. You don't want to corrupt your hard drive if it seems Ok right now but later shows problems.
If it won't memtest at 2.5 then go to 3.0 and also run memtest.
I ran 4 mixed sticks at ddr400 for about 4 days with no problems.
