Upcoming integrated graphics chipset from NVIDIA for both AMD and Intel?

It looks like NVIDIA is planning a new chipset with integrated graphics for both the AMD and Intel chipset markets. Chances are it will have the NV44 (6200 TurboCache) GPU core or some derivative of it.

Do you think this chipset is something you might be interested in building off of?

This seems like a budget solution to me. I'd expect to see it in budget machines and laptops. I don't know enough about C51 at this point but for myself I'm not too interested, but as a marketing strategy I think it's a good idea and business move for nVidia.

mm..better than predecessors..but still slow.even if it was a 6600 gpu,it would still be intended towards the value sector

If I remember correctly, ATI's high performance chipset implementation on a Saphire board could run the onboard in a extended desktop setup with the add in PCI-E card . . . something like at least.

Really all one needs to do is look at how well a board like the Biostar M7NCG 400 sold. Not only could it use mobiles and had full overclocking capability but IGP. What good is IGP? Well, it can hold you over if you decide to sell the video card that's in it and later buy a better one, or you can sell the system off cheaply but efficiently after you are done with it by using the IGP - sell it of to someone who probably doesn't care to use the mobo as a performance board anyway. A board like that would be good if indeed if there was one that had a full range of voltages for potential overclockability and stabilization. Not only that but you could move to a S939 platform IGP board after sellling your Socket_A or S754 and just set up initially with IGP - and it would be DX9 capable so you can play a few games at lower res/details until you get a more powerful standalone card. I know the hardcore tweakers (per say) wont go for a board like this but truely smart and minimalistic type people would - so after all of their standalone video cards are they move on to a more updated platform later they can just pass the board down to a family member or sell it off and use IGP at that time. But again, there would really need to be a manufacturer take the lead and offer an IGP board that could be overclocked and tweaked like the little K7 Biostar board could be tweaked. AFAIK it was the only mATX IGP socket_a NF2 that had full multiplier/voltage options. It certainly would interest me for builds. It would give me the option to use IGP for customers that didn't need anymore than a 6200 class nVIDA chip which means less parts on hand (less standalone video cards) which means less points of failure and less overall RMA's. I built with 16 M7NCG 400's for customers that only used IGP (that doesn't count the 12 that used an add-in AGP card with this board). They are extremely versitile if the manufacturer configures and QC's them properly.
