Interesting! I'm willing to give Uli a try, but if the price difference isn't much I'll probably stick to the VNF4 Ultra. Can we expect a thorough review soon?
    Thanks!

Although it lacks some nF4 features I guess performance will be pretty much like the same.

    Re: M1695 at Comutex 2005

nice to see that chaintech is using uli now if they would only make a nice overclockers sis754 based board or 2 (maby 1-754 and 1-939 )

I would love to get my hands on one of these boards......and a chip to make it work :P
I like that chaintech did put bouth pci-e AND agp on the board. I have a x800xt pe agp and have been very unhappy with the lack of good 939 boards supporting agp.

I know agp is going to be replaced but its still in use by millions of people and many of them have upgraded to very high end cards....these cards are to expincive to just replace for the avrage person. And anyway why would i want to replace agp with pci-e when theres NO perf advantage?(yet)

well good on chaintech. Now if they only change the pcb color to blach OR darl blue or some other nice color........i disslike that nasty orange/brown/baby poo color. :P

One thing i would like to see is a board with the pcie and agp slots togather. so that using say a silencer or zanman cooler wouldnt kill the ability to use a normal pci slot (i use 1-2 added nics depending on what im working on at the time.

I'm really looking forward to this chipset as I have a BFG 6800 agp. Will this board have or need agp/pci locks if overclocking? I assume those are pci slots, which would be helpful with my Audigy 1 board.

Are we looking at a July/August release?

From my first impressions? Yes, it has locks. I haven't verified it, so that will have to wait. Read the info on the links above.

    Re: M1695 at Comutex 2005

Couple of other questions. I have mixed ram on my nForce2 board. Should I have any trouble with it on a S939 system? I have a 512 hyperx and two 256 corsair xms.

Also is the stock HS and fan adequate enough for the short term?

    Thanks,

    Krank
