    Check this out:

Does it overclock? Well, it sure seems to, although it's missing some voltage adjustments right now:

Both these results are competitive with NVIDIA, and they are both outstanding, considering that they were achieved with no memory voltage control.
So, this does answer some nagging questions about ability to overclock, we just need some features. Remember, they only have a reference board and BIOS, so this real product will undoubtedly differ! My guess and hope is that it will have more features.

    Re: M1695 at Comutex 2005

I think it will be great to have another very good chipset for the A64. Competition among chipset manufacturers is good for us.

I know this is picky but in reading the three reviews they all use the 1567 Southbridge. This Southbridge does not support SATA II. Many will argue SATA II especially with current drives offers no advantage or performance increase. I am not wanting this to become a flame on that issue but justfor me native sata II support was a requirment I had when selecting my current board. At least one of the reviews indicated it did not support gigabit ethernet but for me this was not one of my requirements but it may be for some others.

At least one of the reviews mentioned new southbridges to be available soon and a integrated Northbridge in the future. It would be nice (IMHO) if the new southbridge were available when Chaintech comes to market with the board.

Very impressive performance for a reference design.

    I'm using IDE drives exclusively

I'm going to keep an eye on this board. IMO, it would be perfect for AGP owners who aren't quite ready to transition to PCI-E but are planning it at some point in the future.

Another nugget of ULI info, though this is an ASRock board, not the S1695-2.

    ASRock 939Dual-SATA2

Used the Google cache, so I hope this works.
