is it me, or does a majority of new music suck?

Didn't like Fourth Legacy too much, but the song Fourth Legacy is good; the Karma album wasn't that bad either; but I really liked the Black halo, but yeah, their first album, I thought was bad, but each one they improved, alot.

I'm still a huge 80's fan though at heart, but dable here and there.

Have you heard The Darkness? Goofy singing but they're good, there's alot of good songs in the cd. A cross between Ac/Dc, Scorpions and Boston.

I'll say this flat out. A lot of new music sucks flat out. Take Britney Spears or Cher... but I'll also say a lot of new music is good, like for example Rammstein and new forms of Trance. I like techno, and some trance...

But really, for me it all goes back to my real favorites... classic rock. I just do not see many bands out there today keep the tradition of good rock and roll alive these days. Certainly I do like punk rock (more product of the 80s, but evolved heavily in the 90s and the 21st century), and metal but there is a lot of crap out there these days.

Weird i was watching the canadian much music video award and came to that same conclusion music now days sux.And beleive me when i saw the killers perform live i was like how can the singer of that band go on with his freaking life?i mean there music is just plain garbage and there was Ashley simpson who perform too and was singing out of note and acting like a complete retarded on stage...Its just not about the real music anymore its just about hype and whats new and so on...

Man the first time I heard that Ashley girl sing (if you can call it that) I started laughing. How is it possibly that she's actually on tv..who is she blowing? I will say one thing the little one, Aguilera has a set of lungs on her. She CAN sing but the rest are stupid. Britney is a T&A show and what I call "ASS" artists if it weren't for their ass & tits they wouldn't be anywhere. That Ashley girl has nothing though so I don't know how she's up there.

Them fine sisters with the middle one specially Bonce (she's built) or whatever her name is..I thought they were ok and they could sing until one day they were on S.N.L and I couldn't believe the off key BS going on. The editing now takes care of all the problems too. But crap like that always went on the problem is when there's nothing else being promoted specially nothing good.

I agree that there is alot of crap music out there. Although there is some good new stuff. For the most part I've given up on listening to the radio. Even on rock stations they play alot of bands that I can't stand. Usually if I have the radio on now its either on classic rock or npr.

As for new(er) cd's you might like:
static-x - start a war : new cd, I'm liking it almost as much as wisconsin death trip
audioslave - out of exile : new cd, their old one got annoying cause I heard it to much, so far so good with this one
slipknot - vol 3 subliminal versus : not quite as heavy as the last two, but there are quite a few good songs on it
mudvayne - lost and found
chevelle - this type of thinking could do us in

There are quite a few lesser known bands out that have really good stuff:
Earshot, Adema (not the new cd though), Unloco, Dredg, Flaw, Team Sleep, Nonpoint

And I can't get enough of 311 or TOOL

Definitely a great cd. The only bad part is you can't sing along to it without cutting off your testicles. Seriously, I think his testicles have not dropped yet. Still alot of fun though

Wasn't impressed by them, only song I really took a liking too was I believe in a thing called love.

I like the whole album, the song that got me was "growing on me". That guitar intro is a simple but great part. He's got zip tights around his nuts!

Ozzy, that's the song I like the least. I saw the video and when they showed the part with the Marshalls..I had to get them.
