I just threw some stuff in the crock pot for tonight. Beef brisket in some bbq sauce with some onion, garlic, cumin, chili powder and some beer thrown in there. gonna let that simmer for 6-8 hours, slice and serve on a Martin's potato roll with some baked beans and steamed broccoli

grilled some pork tenderloin. Did a nice dry rub on the pork, chili powder, cumin, paprika, pepper, celery salt, salt, brown sugar, ancho and chipotle powder and some garlic. Came out perfect off the grill, nice and juicy, a little spicy and with a little sweetness, served with some FunniBonz bbq sauce (its a local business). Steamed some green beans and made some B&M baked beans.

Everything was great, except I went full retard at one point during cooking and paid the price. I had my remote thermometer in the meat, pulled it out with the tongs so I could flip the tenderloins, and when I went to go put the thermometer back in I grabbed it with my bare hands. OUUUCH! Instantly burned the crap out of my right index and thumb. Its blistering up right now but I put some orajel on it and that numbed the pain pretty well.

Penne with vodka sauce. I took a jar of Victoria vodka sauce (it was on sale) and dressed it up a little bit. Sauteed some pancetta until it was nice and crispy, sauteed a little bit of minced fresh garlic, minced some fresh basil, and grated some pecorino romano, tossed that all into the sauce with an extra little splash of cream (had some in the fridge to get rid of) and called it a day. Green salad on the side and a nice tall glass of cold milk. delicious!

dessert was one of those Fage split-cup yogurts. Those things are delicious

Milk is the beverage of champions. Also, I'm not going to open a bottle of wine for myself in the middle of the week because I never seem to finish them.

Grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, salt, pepper, chipotle olive oil drizzle and a home-made balsamic reduction, all on a nice roll with a salad on the side. Just for Z I didn't have a glass of milk on the side it was a coke zero (which I just found is the first and only diet soda I seem to be able to tolerate)

Sloppy Joes. Sauteed some chopped bell peppers and onions, ground beef, tomato paste & sauce, brown sugar, spices. Disaster struck when I found that my roommate had used up all my worcestershire sauce Crisis averted when I quickly went and grabbed the bottle of heinz 57 steam sauce. Tastes pretty much like worecestershire sauce anyway, so I threw that in there to give it the missing depth of flavor.

Served on a nice Martin's potato roll with a side salad.

My other roommate can attest to the avalanche of profanity and death threats that I issued while searching for it. Thankfully, it was replaced today so i threw a splash in with the leftovers I made for dinner tonight
