Re: What is O-Dog having for supper tonight?

I love Alfredo but haven't found a jar that I'm crazy about. I guess I really haven't tried many - Classico and maybe a couple others.

I just remembered that Romano's Macaroni Grill makes some tasty boxed meals included Chicken Alfredo.

Yea, I'm not too crazy about jar Alfredo either. Normally I make my own since its not all that hard. This one was classico IIRC but we added some hot pepper flakes and a few other spices to give it a little extra kick. that definitely helped it out a bit

This was back on Dec 19 but I'm finally getting around to posting the pics. The 2nd edition of Extreme Burger night. Similar to the first time but I think I added sliced ham. Is that burger tall enough? LOL.

    Lookin good lenny

For christmas dinner my dad and I collaborated on a standing rib roast finished with red-wine shallot mushroom sauce, served with twice baked potatoes, brussel sprouts, and some dinner rolls. drink was a nice South African pinot noir

Dessert is an apple pie I baked myself. Pics to follow when I get around to pulling them off my cam

Re: What is O-Dog having for supper tonight?

We tried a boneless pit ham for Christmas dinner this year. Easiest ham ever to carve, quite tasty and virtually no fat to trim. Wife also made some home made mac & cheese (my daughter's request) to accompany.

Buu actually made us some garlic shrimp on Christmas Eve. I found these uncooked Florida Keys "pink" shrimp which have a texture like a shrimp/lobster cross. Buu fried them in a home made butter/garlic sauce.

Ya gotta love the yummy holiday meals

We had my wife's family famous lasagna yesterday. It was teh yum.

Her Aunt made deviled eggs. I ate 4 of them, before anyone else had any.

I promised pics of christmas dinner, and I shall deliver! Click through a couple times to embiggen all pics

Standing rib roast. Dry aged in the fridge for 3 days then roasted at 250 until target internal temp was reached (instant read probe was in it the whole time). Then let it sit for 10 min and cranked the oven to 500 and put it back in for crispinating:

    Close up of said crispination:

While resting, a red wine sauce incorporating the meat drippings, chopped shallots and sliced mushrooms was prepared:

Meat sliced and out for serving. Twice baked potatoes are also visible:

    Pie time!

LOOK UPON ME AND DESPAIR MERE MORTALS! for your baking skills pale in comparison to mine

I hope everyone had a brilliant holiday and its all about family, not food! Its just that in my home, food is family
