arg pastrami and American cheese sacrilege should at least be swiss with sauerkraut or just plain with deli mustard

I'm not a big fan of swiss, so I went with American. I debated using Provolone, but wanted something with a nice, melty goo factor to stick the whole thing together. I actually wasn't even going to use pastrami either, but my mom forced my hand. Trust me, it was delicious enough that you really wouldn't have cared!

I do love a nice pastrami on rye with sauerkraut though, or, one of my all-time favorites, a Reuben (see a few posts back )

Pan seared strip steak with blue cheese. The greens are baby spinach with red onions sauteed in balsamic vinegar.

This was actually wednesday, just uploading the photos now

Last night was cheese burgers served with Utz's kettle cooked dark russet potato chips and a side salad. My dad got that irradiated beef (no smart-ass japan jokes or you're banned from my thread..) from Wegman's, where you can cook them extra rare. Amazingly delicious

Okay, no jokes about not needing a romantic candle to light your meal. Nothing like a good piece of meat with a built-in night light.

If I wanted a console I'd buy a Mercedes SLK 2-seater. More fun than an X-Box!

As long as the resulting burger is on the rare-side of medium rare and won't give me e-coli, its worth it

On the other hand, you're one of those mouth-breathing philistines who likes to completely ruin a peice of meat by cooking it anything more than that.. well thats a different story

had this for dinner 2 nights ago. Grilled chicken, Prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, home-made pesto, lettuce and tomato all on a grilled ciabatta bread. Side of Coleslaw, kettle cooked dark russet potato chips and a pickle. Washed down with Sam Adam's Noble Pils.... its making my mouth water to look at these pics again

Last night was grilled ribeye steaks (medium rare of course) Served with a green bean salad (green beans, kidney beans, halved grape tomatoes, red onion tossed in a red-wine vinegrette) and oven fries (served with a southwest dipping sauce)

Re: What is O-Dog having for supper tonight?

haven't posted in almost a month, so I'm doing my father's day dinner. Ribs rubbed with my dad's "secret" recipe, home-made potato salad and green bean salad. My dinner drink was Blue Point Summer Ale (A nondescript easy drinking summer ale) Dessert was strawberry shortcakes. I made the biscuits from scratch then put some strawberries (prepped with sugar and a bit of Cointreau) and a dollop of whipped cream. Everything was fantastic! We do the ribs on the gas grill with hickory chips in tin-foil packets. Its kind of hard to get the smoke up without going too high on the heat, so the thinner parts of the rack were overcooked.

    Ribs (before):

yea, I thought of getting one for my dad.. a decent one isn't cheap though and I don't know that we'd get enough use out of it to justify. This method is pretty solid and theres probably a way we could modify the grill for enhanced smokage.
