The drive has been formatted with ntfs in an extended partition. You can use an XP cd to boot from and delete the partition, then press F3 to quit. You can also download a drive tool to low level format the drive. This will remove the partitions. I'm sure there are many other tools out there you can use as well. Do a google check.

If you want to totally wipe the partition table and start from scratch this is a great program to do so.
Its not near as complicated as it looks.
Just make a system boot disk and drop the part file on the disk run it like FDSK. Much more powerful the FDSK.
