reminds me of that snake oil Dell rebate mate lol someone postertized it here, good on ya mate, keep at em aye
I hope my post with the nasty tone didn't offend anyone...
I'm trying to get some miles credited... I hope that I'll somehow get them, as I don't have my boarding passes anymore (the important ones were taken away from me at the boarder when I arrived - WTF!)
Q9300 with 4 GB DDR2 1066 RAM
UltraSharp 2408WFP (needs to be RMA'ed) on GeForce GTX 285 on two 18 amp 12V lines
Audigy X-Fi Fatal1ty w/ Logitech Z-5500 & Sennheiser HD 280 Pro and HD 595
plus the usual stuff in a poorly designed Antec P180 PW case
I hate rebates too, infact I hate rebates so much that I'll actually avoid buying the product out of spite, regardless of the price after the rebate.
....Sent from my ObamaPhone

Compusa has been the ONLY store that has tried that exact same story with me out of dozens of rebates that I have sent in, a few firm well placed phone calls and suddenly it turned out I did send in the right upc (as there was only one on the stupid box to begin with).
Interesting that you've only had problems with CompUSA as well. Needless to say I'll never buy anything from them again after this.
The cheaper the rebate the more likely you are to get it. The companies don't like giving away money, and the whole process is designed to delay until the customer loses interest or forgets. The company figures the customer will probably forget thinking "well I like the thing anyway."
Rebates I've had the most luck with are the $5 ones for FUJI zip disks. Fuji sends those things out like lightning.
TCA rebates is the only place I never got a rebate back from--$50 for a SAMSUNG 712N that I bought from CIRCUITY CITY.
Lately I've been staying away from that crap.
I agree for the most part that the cheaper it is the more likely you are to get it. I once got screwed out of a $100 rebate on a cell phone that I got. I had a very good experience with Directv though and a $100 rebate on one of their Directivo's. I got the money in less than 2 weeks!
Yep, I'm the same way now. Will never buy anything with mail in rebates ever again.Originally Posted by JustinC939
